How to Summon the Mushroom Genie
Gather the following materials before you begin your quest:
- Spore or mycelium syringe
- The Mushroom Genie
- Lighter
- Isopropil Alcohol 70%
Sanitize Your Materials & Workspace
- Sanitize everything and your space.
- Close windows/doors, shut off HVAC, sanitize surface.
- Spray bag with 70% alcohol; let dry.
- Gloves on, clean with isopropyl.
- Document your procedure for future reference and for full replacement if issues arise from our manufacturing and not your process.
How to Inject Your Grow Bag
- Prep syringe per instructions.
- Note: Sterilize needle (flame to red-hot, cool).
- Re-sanitize port.
- Insert via port: 2.5-5cc (up to 15cc) for faster, safer colonization.
Storage & Colonization
- Undisturbed, no sun, 55-75°F (warmer = faster).
- 4-8 weeks: White mycelium spreads. At 3-4 inches, mix colonized into uncolonized (no opening bag).
- Full white: 2-4+ weeks more, species-dependent.
Initiate Fruiting & Key Conditions
Post-colonization, control these for pins:

Fruiting Your Mushroom Genie
- Sanitize workspace/tools/bag; glove up.
- If growing from spores, cut the top of the bag off (about 2 inches from the top). If oysters, cut and X on substrate side about 3 inches wide. If Lion's Mane, cut a diagonal slit about 3" wide.
- Spray with water using the included spray bottle. Repeat 3-4 times per day
- Harvest (below).
- Multi-flush: Mist 3-6 times per day.

Mushrooms sprint—check daily! Harvest pre-flat caps or veil break.
